When working in HR at a local pro-profit college, I had the opportunity to use Insightlink’s Exit Surveys. I felt this was a useful tool because people felt more comfortable sharing their honest opinions about why they left in an online format when if they’d had an inter-person exit interview. It also allowed people to complete the survey online AFTER they left the company, which made many feel more comfortable about being honest and direct in their feedback.
Their online platform was easy to use for employees. It also provided excellent feedback for our company. While most companies do some kind of “exit interviews”, those who do it in person often fail to collect and organize their findings into a usable format that can help them improve recruitment and retention. I found their monthly reports to be easy to read and analyze.
But online products can only go so far. Problems and special needs often arise. With many companies, this means pushing endless buttons on the phone, trying to get customer service assistance. Lacking the ability to reach a human being is often the missing link is many companies. That was not the case with Insightlink. Our customer service contact, Andrew Bilton, was always easy to reach and willing to jump through hoops to help us with special requests.
